About

With a childlike sense of curiosity and play, I explore the use of various mediums and mark-making techniques as I look back at my experiences as a first-generation Mexican American. Growing up as a Hispanic child of the 80s and 90s my world was engulfed with bold colors and patterns which continue to influence my work today. By pulling inspiration from the colors of Mexican folk art, graffiti, and organic forms I work intuitively with the materials to create work that represents the playful nature of my creative process. You can see this in both my functional goods and fine art.
